Club Suit ♣

The black club, a three-leaf trefoil on a stem, is one of the four French playing card suits. It is used in bridge and poker notation, card game rules, and themed decoration. In bridge bidding it is the lowest-ranking suit. In casual text it also serves as a clover-like decorative mark for themed invitations and event flyers.

Windows

Hold Alt and type 5 on the numeric keypad (Num Lock on), then release Alt. Alt 5 uses the code page 437.

Good to know

Don’t mix it up: It resembles ♧ (U+2667, WHITE CLUB SUIT), an outlined version, and the shamrock ☘ (U+2618).

Tip: On Windows, Alt + 5 on the numeric keypad produces ♣ in many applications; in HTML, use ♣.

Display: the character itself is always the same code point, but its shape comes from the font on the device showing it. If you see an empty box, the font lacks this glyph—the text is still correct.
