Latin Small Letter U with Grave ù
The letter ù is u with a grave accent, the stroke that slants down from left to right. French uses it almost exclusively in the word où (where), to tell it apart from ou (or). Italian places it on a stressed final u, as in più (more), virtù, and gioventù. It also appears in Vietnamese as a tone mark.

Windows
- Hold Alt and type 151 on the numeric keypad (Num Lock on), then release Alt. Alt 151 uses the code page 437.

Don’t mix it up: It is often mixed up with ú (U+00FA), which has an acute accent sloping the other way.
Tip: On a Mac, press Option + ` (grave) and then U.
