How to type Î

Windows

Hold Alt and type 0206 on the numeric keypad (Num Lock on), then release Alt. Alt 0206 uses the Windows-1252 code page.
In Microsoft Word or Outlook: type 00CE then press Alt + X.
Open Character Map (search “Character Map” in Start), tick “Advanced view”, search for “latin capital letter i with circumflex”, then Select and Copy.

Mac

Press Option + I, then Shift + I (US English keyboard layout).

Don’t mix it up: Often confused with Ï (U+00CF), which has two dots instead of a pointed hat.
